Beautifully directed by Michael Unger, this Skylight Music Theatre production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame was adapted by Dennis DeYoung of Styx (yes, Styx!). His musical style was well suited to this epic story (and it was very cool to have him around the rehearsal hall!). This show had about 15 moments of violence, including a hanging, a whipping, a stabbing, a high fall, swordplay, plus lots pushing, throwing, and abusing the commoners of Paris. Thanks, Victor Hugo for writing such a violent story.
[Also, the only show I've ever done with 3 "Jamie's". ]
